this was kind of a surprise. such a small amp (5w), yet so loud. the sound is supposed to be an approximation to the vox ac30, and does a really fine job of it.
the eq and the gain stage are extremely responsive, as it should be. there are even more goodies in the guise of an fx-loop, aux in and line-out. plus it takes pedals in front like a charm, with none of that digital harshness (i.e. the fender g-dec thirty).
it's perfect for home practice and maybe even for band practice, if the drummer isn't too loud!

p.s. i've had this for some years now and it's my most played home amp. consider if you will, that i also have a fender g-dec thirty, and a marshall 25-50 jubily all tube combo with 2x12, which is my holy grail!
i guess this makes my comment above more poignant, or?

Great amp for the size!

Don't be put off by the tiny size of this amp when you take it out of the box - it packs a punch and sounds great. I've tried it with a 1x12 cab and it's capable of putting out enough volume to disturb the neighbours. Ideal for home practice, maybe even with a band if the volume is kept down. At 5w this amp will not be suitable for your next stadium gig, but it's plenty loud in the home.
The HoTone Nano Legacy British Invasion has a range of great sounds, producing some nice clean tones and a nice crunchy overdriven sound at higher gain. The three band EQ is very sensitive, so it's easy to dial in a variety of tones.
The build quality seems solid and the amp looks great - don't be embarrassed by the size!
It will handle a 4 to 16 Ohm load, and it also has a headphone socket, a line-in for mp3 players, and an FX-loop. It takes pedals well in front of the amp, I haven't tried the FX-loop though.
All in all this amp is really good value for money and I really like it. HoTone seem to be a very good brand and I will be trying other amps in this range. Recommended as a great practice amp!

Amazing little amp

It is even smaller than I thought, little amp which delivers enough volume for home use or smaller gigs. I play it with 1x12' cabinet, loaded with Celestion Greenback (8 ohm) and it sounds great. The sound is supposed to capture main characteristics of the legendary AC30 , I did side by side test with the real one (late 60's model) , and it sounded pretty close to the original. Great jangly, gritty tones. I tried it with my pedalboard and that was biggest surprise: heavy fuzz tones into crunch settings worked very well.
3 band EQ and volume/gain controls are very responsive.
It also has FX LOOP for using external effects, headphone output , Aux In jack can let you play with an external music player. Really great value for money and very cool looking device. Highly recommended.
