Ok, I am not playing accordion at all, my wife is practicing playing on piano and accordion, I am playing only on bass guitar. There on thomann I have made 2 purchases: first one was startone maja 48, I bought it not for playing, but to remove the reeds and install the electronic synthesizer MCU, pressure sensor (like Roland V) which was developed by me as a hobby project (I am electronic engineer). The second was Hohner Bravo II 48 Black, for my wife and after I compared Startone with Bravo II and Roland FR-1 (electronic), I got puzzled, for the following reasons:
Air pressure: the Startone requires more pressure when playing on both sides, but overall Bravo II has the same problem.
Sound: both accordions have problem with treble side, some notes(keys) are more silent than other and produce some "hoarse" noise. Some metal parts in the bass side of Bravo II are resonating when playing. Both sounds almost the same.
Quality: Bravo II is much more qualitative than Startone. And Bravo II does not smell like chemical weapon, as Startone has strong smell of glue.
To sum up, I think that the Bravo II is overpriced. Especially when comparing with wife's Roland V-accordion FR series.
