I'm a gigging guitarist and bought them as back ups for string breaks. My main guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Custom so this feels light as a feather, finding it hard to get used to the weight but I'm sure my back will thank me!
I found plugged in to my regular set up alongside the CST-24 it has a hotter/more treble-y output. This could just be down to me not quite finding the sweet spots on the guitar yet and getting the controls dialled in correctly but this is just initial impressions.
The ebanol fretboard looked very dry just like on the CST when it arrived. I used some F1 oil on it but it seems quite resistant to soak in as it's not wood, but I think it has made a small difference.
There was also a paint/lacquer run on the back of the headstock which was a little disappointing but for the price I paid for it it's a small thing.
I normally use 10-52 so I feel the string gauge is a little light but that is personal taste and not a detriment to the guitar. I changed the strings to my preference now and it's a total different feeling guitar. Is sounds to my ear also much more like I was hoping for since the string swap. I love it!
Overall for £150 to my door from Germany this is a very good guitar, as I bought it along side a deluxe model it was probably a little unfair to it, but the string swap has altered the guitar much more to my taste.
