I recently bought the Fallout Tribute and I'm very happy with it. I use it on stage and also in the studio. I play guitar for 12 years, I've used many guitars like Tele, Strat, Les Paul..etc and I'm sure this is the most versatile guitar I ever had. The pickups (US made) are very well balanced and the coil split offers a very convincing single coil sound. The P90 in the neck is wonderful. It has the clarity of a strat neck pickup and enough powerful to match the bridge humbucker. The neck is quite thick, comfortable and very round on the back. It also has a wider string spacing than a strat or tele. The bridge is one of the greatest inventions of Leo Fender at G&L. It's easy to set up and offers a lot of twang and sustain.
Pros : - Very versatile guitar with great pickups - Comfortable neck - The bridge is very well designed and contribute a lot to the sound and sustain. - Great for rock, blues, jazz, funk..etc.
Cons : - The pots and pickup selector switch do not seem to solid but they're easy to replace.
Having read some reviews I was really looking forward to receiving this guitar. A humbucker and a p90 is not a combination I have been able to find elsewhere and g&l guitars are known as the favourite of all Leo Fenders creative projects. This is a superb guitar for the money. Great and varied sounds, a superb and fast neck and fingerboard. Excellent value for money. There are some compromises on quality such as a very roped pick guard, the switches are ok but could feel a little more sturdy but otherwise a fantastic guitar I cannot rate it highly enough for the money it is great
