A true Gator product.

Gator has continued to impress me with their quality products and this microphone case is no exception. The hinges have a stay on them to stop the lid from falling over, keeping the case balanced while you browse your microphone collection.

The handle is very nice, even with the case weighted down with a full complement of microphones the handle is able to provide a comfortable grip. Internally the microphone slots are just the right size for standard dynamic stage mics such as the SM58, 57. I have a pair of Small-Diaphragm condensers in there too, to stop them from rattling around in the pockets I've left the clips on them.

To the right there's plenty of space for DI boxes, clips and odd shaped microphones; I currently have 5 DI boxes, clips, Stereo T-Bar, short patch leads and an e906 in there and there's still space for a couple more microphones. Fantastic.

My only criticism would be that the latches aren't the best, I'm not going to be using the locks on the latches but something feels cheap about them, I've only had the case a few days so I can't comment on the long term reliability of these latches. In all honesty I think they'll do just fine but they are definitely the weak point on this case.

Overall this case is well designed, for the price it really is a steal. Comparable to similarly sized SKB cases.

Awesome, tough box

Been using this box since 2011 or so for hundreds of gigs. Handle is still solid; box closes securely. Not too big, not too small. Good space for mics, patch cables, a couple of DIs, etc.

AMAZING

I bought this over 8 years ago and it has been used at every gig ie. over 1000 times. It is still going strong. I often have heavy DI boxes in the spacious open compartment and it has stood up to that perfectly. Still in perfect condition and protects mics brilliantly. TIP don't keep all your expensive mics in one case unless you need them, they are easy to steal!

Great case

I cannot yet comment on durability, but as I recieved the case i was impressed. It is very lightweight, you can fit most of your mics inside along with your stage DI's etc. The latches close nicely. The case feels professional and that it can withstand quite alot. Time will tell on durability. I also put all non standard vocal mics in their bags and is side compartment.
