I'd say its actually a perfect guitar even if it was double the price! I used to gig every night with a Gibson Les Paul Custom, but when I started getting back pain from wearing that beast so much I decided to go after a cheap 'n lightweight guitar.
This guitar sounds Great through my Line 6 Pod HD500. It would be nice if the pickups had a little more output but can't ask for miracles for this price. It can stand quite a bit of distortion before feeding back on the single coil pickups, but if it does get too much then all you have to do is use two single coils at the same time, or its humbucker pickup at the bridge which has a proper classic/hard rock sound to it.
I can't comment on the wammy bar because I never use it. Infact I blocked off the whole system.
This is a great starting guitar, and could keep you going until you're on stage. I've even recorded with it!
I got this as my first guitar and have fallen in love with it, I didn't want to spend too much at first because I wasn't sure how long I would keep at it. It has a traditional fender neck which enables amazing playability and comfortable. the pickups are perfect but they are good considering you are paying under £100. the hardwear is perfect the only downfall is the nut, it isn't a very good quality one so after a while it tends to crack. Overall this a great guitar for beginners or if you just feel like having one to mess about on. 3 guitars and 4 years later it is still with my and my main guitar that i use.
