Our touring takes its toll on gear like instrument cables. The cables get rolled over by support bands moving their (too) big amps, running around twists the cables, folding it, packing it, etc wears it down. It's inevitable they'll lose their clarity, sound get muddled. Jacks get loose. The question is when.
This one is still "alive". I've done ca 100-120 shows + numerous rehearsals and recordings with it. It has after 1-2 years of touring of course lost some clarity in the sound. But I'm surprised I can still use it. I think what saves it is the soft rubber shield on the cord, it seems like that takes some of the impact of the "mishandling". A down-side of it that I've noticed this type of cable twists a lot.
I needed another cable for our bandroom since the one I had purchased before was very short and I want to walk around in the room while playing as I am definitely not one of this guys who just stand there and make no performance at all.
The Fender cable made it as the other cable was also a Fender one. 7,5m provide a great freedom of movement and the cable is also very thick which I like very much. The jacks are very solid and the sound is great as well.
If you're looking for a long, high grade and nice sounding cable which does not cost very much, you may consider buying this one.
