To me it's a bit of a love and hate relation with the fender patch cables. I've equipped my whole pedalboard (a flat Rockcase) with the Custom Shop patches and at first I was very happy with them. However, when I wanted to use a Pedaltrain, I've noticed a huge disadvantage of the Fender Patch cables: they're pretty sturdy and not very flexible. If you just want to connect one effect straight to another one, it won't give you problems. But as soon as you want to "hide" the cables under the pedaltrain, those cables will drive you nuts. Also, while changing up my effects, one of the cable's isolation broke and I had no sound coming. However, Fender's lifetime warranty helped me out and I got a replacement cable. Soundwise, there's not too much to say about it - there's no apparent change in sound quality.
