High quality amp for practice, rehearsal and gigging.

This is my second Blues Junior. I used version 2 exclusively from 2005 to 2009 as my main gigging amp, then, foolishly, as we musicians often do, began to wonder if the grass was greener on the other side. I went down the Hot Rod Deluxe route, the Blues Deluxe route, then, even the solid state route with a ZT Club amp (incredibly good for some applications actually), but always found myself missing the particular sound I got from the little Blues Junior and my Telecaster. There are many opinions on-line about how to run these amps. I like a clean tone, and clean headroom, with a little hair. Running the master volume at 12 and the volume to suit the room will open many eyes and ears. A great little amp you can use with and without pedals. Nice and simple.
I use this all the time for live gigs and in the recording studio. It does both very well indeed. It's very easy to carry around as it's quite light and not to big. It's a very loud am for a 15 watt amp. I usually have the volume setting at about 4 or 5 for using live because any louder would deafen the rest of the band. So don't let the 15 watts fool you into thinking it's not loud. It is! It's has a beautiful clean sound. I usually use it with a slight bit of drive applied and it also works really well with the rest of my effects pedals. The reverb is lovely too. Ideal for someone who has pedals and doesn't need an amp with too many controls.
