I own several guitars ranging from Les Pauls to Telecasters and I was looking for something new with the hype of a semihollow. Nevertheless, I did not wanted an extremely resonant guitar like a traditional Gretsch or a Gibson ES-335. Scrolling through Thomann website I found this little jewel, The first thing to catch my eye was the outstandingly beautiful design and aesthetics. I start researching a bit about the guitar and to my surprise it was not so easy to find any reviews. There is a couple of demonstrations on ESP website and maybe one or two Youtube videos but nothing more. When listening to those tracks I immediately got surprised with the corolful tonality of the guitar and the super dynamics and enhanced mid-range coming from the P-90's.
I decided to order one...
Now I am in love, the feel of the guitar is just perfect, the neck came perfectly adjusted from the factory and the playability is incredibly good. My guitar came without any flaws, no dents, no chips, not a single scratch. The craftsmanship is superb; actually, I have not seen a craftsmanship of this quality since long ago.
The tone is full and alive, extremely sensitive to your playing, specially at lower gain settings. The tone is pleasantly bright and delicate, with some similarity to some high-end jazz guitars. What I like the most out of it is that the effect of the resonant box is actually quite subtle. It has a direct effect on the sustain (which is massive!), but it does not create a negative effect on the note definition. The tuning stability is top, the frets feel fast but not too thin. The finishing is gorgeous, probably is the best looking guitar I own.
I totally recommend this guitar, actually, I encourage you to get one, it is really a hidden treasure.
