This amp is incredibly light (Class D) amp and you can pick it up with one finger. But while it's light in weight, it's heavy on sound. I've been doing more rehearsals than gigs with it, but last week I did a gig with a 4 piece band, doing big, showey, anthemy numbers like Wings, Keane as well as stalwarts like Sweet Home Alabama and the amp had tonnes of head-room to spare. This is a loud amp with oodles of quality. I (and the rest of the band) were really happy with it. I used a MusicMan Stingray on the night and the tone was pure and bell like, the way I like it, but plucking further up the neck, I could also get a huge, thumpy sound when I needed it. I paired it with a single SWR 15" that I have and it sounded just great. Warmth when you need it, and precision and sharpness when asked. Highly recommend this head. Also played a Fender Jazz bass through it and it was the best I ever heard that instrument sound. Lots of options with the eq and character button. Can't believe you get this much 'bang for your buck'. Flawless.
I have been using this amp as my main gig rig, driving a 2x10 400W cab, and have been really pleased with its performance. Great built quality, light enough, and very easy to use. The EQ parameters are really sensitive and give you great flexibility and a good variety of sounds. This is a powerful and loud amplifier easily comparable with Class D amps that state much higher wattage. EBS has done great.
