I find these excellent for strumming on an acoustic or for more non-melodic funky stuff on an electric. They create a kind of slapping, plasticky washboard effect which I like, gives a percussive feel.
You can get some good dynamics in your volume and play hard without worrying about it catching on a string and flying out of your hand mid-strum. I often find this with medium or thin celluloid picks.
The raised Jim Dunlop logo gives great grip and being nylon they're very durable. Highly recommended for rhythm playing, there's a bit too much give in them for lead stuff.
I have been using the Dunlop .38 for a while and decided to try the .46. I can feel the difference, but not in a bad way. Still feels and plays well. I love the thin Dunlops and for many years have been my plectrum of choice. They are good quality, last a long time, i have washed Dunlops in my jeans, in a washing machine, and they have still been fine afterwards......Highly recommended......
