Whoow - more gain more punch!
I have already known the DiMarzio Chopper pickup. I had one in my Pink Paisley Telecaster's bride position. I really liked the sound of it. It is creamy and smooth, with a tasteful amount of extra gain and punch.
I decided to buy something to my Yngwie Malmsteen USA Strat. Yes, for an Yngwie Strat! Let's face the fact that the factory installed DiMarzio HS-3 and YJM pickups are still a single coil pickups (with dummy coil for noise cancelling) therefore it produces very low output. Well, I like the sound of them but for the type of music what I play they are not really suitable. As I wanted more output I focused on the Chopper option. I purchased one for a Neck position, and for the bridge I'm thinking about to buy a Super Distortion or Air Norton or maybe Tone Zone.
So one thing I can tell after install the Chopper to the Neck position: it is awesome!
Sing like an angel and screams like a devil. The good thing is: the tonality is very similar to the HS-3 / YJM pickups therefore it almost sounds the same, which I basically like, but the Chopper has more saturated, more compressed gain structure which I prefer. It is important to adjust the pickup height properly,, not too low, not too high. Nice pickup, thanks to Thomann to delivery it so fast!

Made my Strat a beast!
It's been years I was looking for a perfect bridge humbucker for the Classic Player '60 of my dreams, and with the Chopper I've found the best of both worlds. Responds fine to volume adjustments, cleans up easily and explodes when unleashed on overdriven sounds. Great mid boost and clarity, attack and sustain to sell. Honestly prefer it as a full humbucker, but does a great work when split (honestly, don't like very much when in parallel though).

Great Strat-sized Humbucker
Excellent Strat-sized humbucker for use in the bridge or middle position of a Stratocaster or similar guitar.
The pickup has a fairly high output (260 mV) and and even response between the strings due to the 'twin-blade' construction and ceramic magnet.

Chopper pickup is amazing
This pickup is amazing for those who have a strat style guitar but would like to get a screaming fat humbucker tone out of it! I totally dig it, it's just amazing.

Great addition to a Strat
I got myself this Chopper to replace the bridge pickup of my American Standard Stratocaster.
The pickups is a cross between a single coil and a humbucker. Perfect addition to a Strat if you don't want to completely change the character of the guitar.
It sounds great when split (position 2 split bridge+middle) and sounds good when used full size. It has more body than a classic single coil but it's brighter than a humbucker.
- Pros: easily replace any Strat pickup, sounds good without changing character of the guitar.
- Cons: a little too focused on mids when used in bridge position in humbucker mode.

Great SC sized humbucker
I placed this PU in the neck of my strat, have been playing for a about a week and very happy bout the performance. It's beefy, bit dark and has a good amount of output. It also splits very nicely, giving a nice quack with the middle PU.
But the sound is definitely different from a real humbucker. Because of its output, bridge might be a more suitable position. I will move it over in a bit and report back.
