Tone Zone was a replacement for INF4 bridge pickup in an Ibanez RG331M(basswood+maple board). INF4 was quite good actually without any major problems but Dimarzio is much fuller and more clear. It has been described as boomy but not with my setup. Great pickup overall.
Guitar - Ibanez JEM 7DBK Bridge - Tone Zone F white Middle - Tone Zone S white Neck - Air Norton F white Shadow Kill Pot and 500k push/push tone pot
My JEM 7DBK arrived with everything except the pickups and pickguard, something I requested as it was preowned from Ebay. I chose to custom wire it with a schematic from Dimarzio. I believe Paul Gilbert had these in the neck position as well.. hmm.. I can see a guitar equipped with three Tone Zones on the horizon!
The Tone Zone and Air Norton F were bought from Thomann, quick delivery and a great price. I prefer Dimarzio to Seymour Duncan these days, roll on stocking custom colours Thomann!
