Excellent bass for those seeking jazz and blues sound

Although its own package was barely adequate, Thomann took care and provided a sturdy box. Setup of the bass was not bad, but not perfect, I had to adjust the string height at the nut as well as the saddle, and released a a tension of truss rod to achieve a slight bow.

I chose between this and ibanez SRH500 semi-hollow, but glad that I have this Cort now, because of the Bartolini pickup is has, which gives additional sounds, fat and jazzy sounds. The only piezo pickup just couldnt give you a variety of sounds, no matter what you adjust.

One minor problem I had with this bass - on the front side it had sharp 90 degree angles, which makes it inconvenient to lay an arm on it. But with the help of a small plane and a file I solved the problem, made a bevel on all front surface of the guitar (5mm wide), and covered it with linseed oil.

So this Cort B4 FL MHPZ is now looks perfect, plays perfect, and feels perfect, just ideal jazz/blues tool for me!

It's the most affordable fretless bass guitar that I've ever played. It sounds like a 2000$ bass guitar and is so gorgeous.
I really recommend this instrument to those who want to start playing fretless.
The tomb rest is quite cool and really handy.

Nach erstem Schock hat er mich überzeugt

Ich hatte diesen und den Ibanez Aerium bestellt. Der erste Schock: Er kam unspielbar an. Die Saiten lagen auf dem Griffbrett. Also an den Höheneinstellugen geschraubt: Dann gings, aber in den hohen Lagen war die Saitenlage viel zu hoch.
Peinlich: Ich habe seit 45 Jahren Gitarren und Bässe, aber noch nie gewagt an dieser Stellstange im Griffbrett rumzumachen; ich wusste nicht, was da passiert. In Youtub nachgeschaut – und die Saitenlage optimal eingestellt.
Beinahe hätte ich aber dennoch den Ibanez behalten, da der extrem "kontrabassig" klingt. Aber das war's. Andere Klangvariationen gehen kaum. Ganz im Gegensatz zum Cort: Es geht nicht ganz so diese kontrabassige Klangform – aber fast. Und dann aber auch alles andere, von ganz weich bis ganz hart.
Jetzt bin ich sehr froh, dass ich ihn nicht zurückgeschickt habe, Endlich gelernt, mit der Stellstange was anzufangen und er gefällt mir optisch und klanglich sehr gut.

Très bonne basse, assez légère, le coté anguleux de la partie supérieure est un peu gènante au niveau de l'avant bras droit.
Je vais m'en servir couramment en substitution à ma warwick qui est pourtant super aussi !
