Before buying this, I researched a bunch of interfaces under 100¤ and I'm so glad I got this one. The size, price, simplicity and the fact that it's Alesis made it an easy choice really.
I love the fact that I use every single thing this unit has, AllI really need is an XLR input from my guitar attenuators' out. There are absolutely no latency issues whatsoever and this unit is dead quiet.
Although I use another DAW, the fact it comes with Cubase is great however, please be very carefull with which computer you chose to install this software! This license is for one computer and one alone! If by any chance you delete it or change hard drives, I have no idea how you'd get Cubase again.
The unit feels (and is) durable and it also looks great! It's super tiny so it's the perfect interface for my home studio, sitting right next to computer screen on my desk!
Should you need it, the instructions manual is very well layed out.
I have recommended this to other people and will continue to do so, it's great!
I used this device to play and record my electric guitar sound on my computer. It is extremely simple to operate and very well built. The 2-in-1 (XLR + jack) input and headphones socked are very handy. Not to be used for low-latency performance recording. Only one channel / mono - but outputs stereo (identical signal on both channels). Doesn't monitor or things like that, it's just a solid interface to send analog signal to your computer USB.
The only issue I encountered with this device was lag when recording on Linux - due to its "low" sample rate, as I could not find settings to get rid of this recording delay using 48 kHz sample rate. I have not tried recording on other system using it. The lack of direct monitoring make it not quite usable in my rig and I intend to sell it.
