Good if you can afford it

I play solo acoustic guitar/singing gigs about 5 nights a week, and I needed a quality amp for this purpose. A friend loaned me an AER Alpha, which sounded good. I decided to go for the Domino over the Alpha or Compact 60 for two reasons: It has two speakers and more wattage, providing a warmer tone and more headroom, and it has many input and output options, e.g., stereo line input for a keyboard or iPad, and extra mic and jack inputs should you play a duo gig one night or have a guest play with you. It has lots of power, which I don´t use as I don´t play at a high volume, but it´s good to know that it´s there if I need it. I normally connect the amp via the L-Out jack to a small P.A and use the Domino as a monitor. I like that it has a separate control for the Line Out send and the sound coming out of the amp´s speakers, unlike the Compact 60, where the Line Out and Speaker volume are both controlled by the ´Master´. Overall, I´m happy with it, and it´s been reliable so far. The effects sound fine and I only really use some reverb on my voice and guitar. Is it worth the money? Probably, if you gig a lot. It´s substantially heavier than the Compact 60, twice as heavy in fact. What sold me on this amp is really that it is 3 things combined into one - a quality acoustic guitar/voice preamp, a small mixer, and a pair of speakers built into one unit. That means less time screwing around at the gig plugging things in, which is always a good thing!

Man höre!

Dieser Amp ist etwas völlig anderes, als die verschiedenen anderen "Akustic-Amps", die ich bisher ausprobiert und z.T. leider auch gekauft hatte. Die deutlich preiswerteren Geräte von Kustom, Marshall oder Ibanez-Troubadour kann man dagegen vergessen. Die Gitarre klingt absolut natürlich, ebenso die Mandoline, an der ein kleines Kondensator-Kugel-Mikro ähnlich Countryman klebt; auch ein Gesangsmikrofon klingt wirklich angenehm. Und selbst ohne ein Notch-Filter ist die Anfälligkeit für Rückkopplungen sehr gering, eigentlich unglaublich!
Auf der Bühne stellt der Domino 2A natürlich zunächst ein hochwertiges Monitorsystem dar, ist gleichzeitig eine DI-Box für alle Instrumente und erspart am Mixer bis zu drei Wege. Dazu ist jeder der vier Kanäle einzeln zu muten - sehr praktisch!
Nicht nur ich selber, auch die Musikerkollegen waren nach dem ersten Einsatz vor größerem Publikum angetan: So gut hatte man meine Instrumente noch nie gehört!

Einziger Minuspunkt: Mein Domino 2A war wohl einer der allerersten, hier stimmt die Benennung der Effekt-Presets in der Anleitung (noch??) nicht mit den tatsächlichen Sounds überein.

C'est un ampli acoustique 4 voix que j'utilise avec une Guitare Jazz Gretsch G100.
j'ai fais plus de 200 concerts avec,sans aucun problème.
Quand je me produit en acoustique, je branche en même temps 1e guitare, 1e basse 1 micro chant 1 grosse caisse Percu.
j'utilise juste la reverbe pour le micro dans les efftets intégrés car j'ai mon pedalboard, sinon tous les effets son pro.
Grace a la sortie D.I les ingés son me prennent sans problème.
Je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec cet ampli.
Un peu cher pour un musicien "normal" mais j'ai économisé un an pour l'acheter, avant j'ai acheté plus de 5 amplis en 4 ans. Il y avait toujours quelque chose qui n'allait pas: soit trop lourd, soit pas assez claire quand on monte en volume....
Plus on monte en musique, plus on a besoin de matos qu'on peut utiliser sur toutes les scènes ouvertes ou fermées sans avoir à rougir devant la qualité de son des grands groupes qu'on croise dans les festivals....
L'AER DOMINO II a réussi a resoudre ce problème à mon niveau ;-)
