Had been looking for a roller nut for a while for a Gibson Les Paul but could only find an LSR one which is for a Strat or guitar with a 9.5" fretboard radius so although I had purchased one and was thinking of fitting it as a bit of a gamble did another search and fortunately found this ABM item which is very well designed and manufactured so set about installing it the only thing was that it is supplied without installation instructions which is rather annoying. Luckily as I have done a fair bit of modifying and building guitars had a pretty good idea of what was required to fit it basically I knew that half the nuts width had to be removed from the fretboard end as the the string rests on the middle of the roller that point is the same as the front edge of a conventional guitar nut so that means the distance from the centre of the nut to the front edge needs to be removed from the fretboard otherwise the string length will be way out and will throw scale and intonation drastically out of wac.So anyway in summary it works very well but no instructions and there is some loss of tone as because the nut is made of brass it brightens the tone although by tweaking my amp can get some but not all back but seems to sustain a bit better not that that was ever a problem with a Les Paul and overall very glad I did the mod.
