Amazing ride!

After some years of playing on a low-quality cymbals I finally decided to give the Zultan Dark Matter series a go. After purchasing both crash cymbals (which sound great) I went on buying the 22'' ride version.

And it sounds amazing!

Really clear, dark tone perfect for the types of music I play (Metal/Rock)
I cannot but highly recommend this ride to any Rock drummer out there!

The only downside I can think of is the fact that after playing a few gigs, the beautiful dark pattern is ruined by the white marks my sticks leave, but thats a problem every cymbal has ;)

Superb Value Cymbal

I have nothing but praise for my recent purchase of a 22 inch Zultan Dark Ride Cymbal. It has a beautiful tone, not too dark but just enough and it cuts through with a nice sustain.The bell tone is superb also. Perfect for jazz.

All my other cymbals are old Avedis Zildjians and it compares very well with those but at a fraction of the price. In fact it sounds very similar to K Zildjians.

I can't list any cons because I can't find any, I would recommend anyone to try these cymbals, especially if on a budget, but even if not.

I am very tempted to try the Hi Hats, perhaps next Christmas.

Excellent Crash!

This is an excellent crash cymbal for heavy rock. Dark and mysterious at the same time it isn't too dry. A solid bell.

Oh, and it works well as a ride too.

Great sound for the price

This is a great all round cymbal. I've used it in all kinds of styles from jazz to rock...it sounds great in most of them. It has suprising stick deffenition and warm, dark overtones.
It is a little on the louder side, especially when crashing it, but overall I'm verry satisfied.
The finish is unique and everybody wants to know what the cymbal is.
