Awesome
I was in doubt if I wanted the Captor X or Captor 8 and because of the fact that I only use this device in my homestudio for silent recording in conjunction with the Two Notes Wall of Sound software I choose for the Captor 8. My amps all have 4,8,16 Ohms connections so I choose for the 8 Ohms. It's plug & play. Adjusting the levels of the device in conjunction with my audio Interface, a Motu M4, The sound was great but not awesome. That changed with fiddeling with the EQ/Exiter/Reverb/Compressor, different mic types, etc, knobs in the WoS software. You can adjust it all to taste. When you want to use this kind of device live, buy the Captor X with the WoS software built in the device. For home use, this does the job perfectly. It rates 100 Ohm but I want to advice you that you don't want to push it to its limits fot a long period of time. The device can handle the limits but it gets hot and the fan is working overtime! For 50,60 watt amps this device works perfectly. Every week Two Notes is developing new speaker emulations and the "boutique store"" where you can buy specific cabinets is like a candy shop....You get some for free when you're purchasing this device and they do the job but when you want to finetuning your sound you can choose from hundreds of speakers. This device is a blast!
