Great and cheap Güiro

I already have the larger Beech model of this instrument from the TKP range, which I liked. This one is much better, although slightly too small for perfection.

The ridges on both TKP beech güiros are small and give a good clear sound, allowing for a lot of detail and tonal range. I recommend a plastic chopstick with a round point and a square butt for the greatest variety of tone. The stick that comes with it is not the thing.

The best bit of this particular model is the slit, which really makes the sound come alive - there should be a slit on the larger model too!

Decidí adquirir este producto porque creí que me podía venir bien como complemento de percusión. La verdad es que ha superado con creces mis expectativas iniciales, ya que la relación calidad-precio es fantástica. Imagino que para un uso más profesional puede quedarse corto, pero para un aficionado es ideal. La construcción es robusta y resistente, y el sonido más intenso de lo que parece a simple vista. En definitiva, aunque se defina como instrumento para niños, cualquiera le va a encontrar utilidad.
