The skin is very loosy, so the spring can not resonate it and makes blop blop sounds. I complained about the problem and Thomann sent a second one which as even worse. At the end they refunded it but it is such a disappointment that Thomann sells a product that doesn't work even they say they do quality control? You can sell a cheap product but that doesn't mean it doesnt do what it supposed to.

For my viking music I was looking for a nice thunder. This large bamboo thunder produces very nice and loud thunder sounds with just a shake of the instrument. It produces various sounds by tapping on the skin, bamboo or even the string. Great for ritual, nature and instrumental music but also very usable in electronic music.
I definitely recommend this instrument and if you own different percussion instruments this one should not lack. Great price, great sound!

I really like this thunder drum, the only thing - I wish the sound would be more louder and straightforward as with other shaped thunder drums.

Le son produit par l'instrument est confirme à ce que j'attendais. On obtient facilement un grondement de tonnerre très naturel qui peut servir à mettre en relief un conte ou une histoire grâce à des effets sonores du feu de dieu !
On peut aussi l'utiliser pour enregistrer la bande son de la nature dans l'esprit de certains musiciens comme Kalani, par exemple.
