I have given highest ratings for the following reasons:
It conforms to my preference for plain and straightforward features and looks.
It is a quite long and rather souple strap but you can adjust it to a shorter length when needed. The eyelets are easy to fix/unfix to the strap buttons but grip them quite firmly. I also use strap blocks to secure them but when you want a flexible strap to move around different basses that wont give major problems is my guess. (I'm not a fan of strap lock systems).
The strap is not very thick but the width combined with the padding is really adequate to distribute the weight of my (quite heavy all-maple) jazz bass comfortably.
The leather is smooth on the outside and also smooth but softer on the inner side. But it doesn't slide, not even when just wearing a t-shirt or so.
Only a couple of weeks in use so I can't say anything useful on durability but I trust this one to last at least a couple of years before I suspect the padding at the edges will give some issues.
This is not the cheapest strap but certainly not too expensive considering the size, features and workmanship. It is well worth the price and I would buy this one or a brown variant again when needed.
