Manfrotto 196AB-3 Single Arm 3 Section

I'm rather disappointed with this product, and I wonder if 3 arms is 2 arm too many. Unlike other reviewers here (and on other websites) for this product, I'm not at all happy with the ability of this to manage even the lightest of loads. No matter how hard I tighten the bolts, there is always an immediate sag when a minimal load (e.g. iPad or even a small LED light) and a gradual drop of the arm over time. I have tried various configurations to mitigate this, but with no success. At best, it can suspend my mobile phone (with the Manfrotto 143BKT) but not much else.

Having said that, the arms and joints feel sturdy - I don't fear they will break, just not hold their position.

Such a versatile tool. I use a Manfrotto super clamp to attach it to a light stand and it functions as a great overhead tripod replacement. It is a bit fiddly in the beginning when you are getting used to adjusting it and you have to make sure you tighten it at all the hinges.
When the arm is fully extended it can still hold my system cam. It's also been a great tool for doing zoom calls to hold my phone.

Der Arm ist sehr leicht durch die Alurohre und Kunststoff-Gelenke. Er ist sehr flexibel und kann in alle Richtungen 360° eingerichtet werden. Er ist natürlich durch die Gewinde und Aussenmaße zu dem übrigen Ton-/Kamera-/Licht-Equipment von Manfrotto und anderen Herstellern kompatibel. Zusammengefaltet ist er schön klein.
Der Preis ist für das Gebotene mehr als gut.


Ich bin Tonmeister und suchte einen sehr flexiblen Mikrofon-Arm um in der Fahrerkabine eines LKW Dialog aufzunehmen. Da uns im Fahrzeug wenige Befestigungspunkte zur Verfügung standen, wählte ich den Manfrotto Arm, da er sehr leicht und flexibel ist und eine große Reichweite hat. Wir wählten ein Staufach hinter der Windschutzscheibe mittig im Dach des LKW. Dort konnte ich den Arm mit einer Manfrotto Uni-Klemme an einem Regalbrett befestigen. Von dort aus konten wir mit zwei Armen fast den ganzen Innenraum erreichen.
Schnell montiert und auch wieder abgebaut. Schnell eingerichtet und auch schnell verändert.
