Excellent kit for what you pay for it.
Though the electronics are quite poor and I missed some components (thomann helped me out very well after adressing this issue though).
After a good setup the guitar plays fairly well, gets a good sound and perfect if you want to get into building your own guitar.
If you want to get the best out of the guitar, put some good strings on it and replace the pickups with your preferred brand/model.
I used auto paint for the finish, gave it a nice blueburst look.
+ Complete kit with excellent value
+ Good for starter guitar builders
+ Enables the player to choose whatever he likes in terms of finishing
- My neck seems to be a bit fat at the binding, meaning it sticks out a lot above the body, I had to raise the saddle and bridge to lift the strings
- My volume pots only work in an on/off fashion, nothing in between (don't know if this is standard, or a defect.
I advise to use nitrocellulose lacquer and to read the instructions very carefully. With good sanding, a bit of skill and hard work you can make a well playing instrument.
