simple yet effective

I bought this foot switch for my Fender Champion 40. It has two switches; one to switch between the clean and gain channel, and one to turn the effect on and off. Two lights show if the gain channel is selected and if the effect is engaged. With the foot switch the channel switch button on the amp itself does nothing.

It comes with an (instrument?) cable to connect the footswitch to the amp. Should you however lose or forget the cable, it also works with a normal guitar cable.

The unit is constructed from what looks to me as aluminium and plastic, and feels like it can take a beating. It however is pretty light and has no rubber feet, so it can move quite a bit if you put it on a smooth floor. I would recommend putting some rubber feet on it yourself.

For being a relatively simple piece of equipment, it seems a bit expensive to me, but I still wouldn't want to miss it, as it makes switching between gain and the clean channel possible without stopping playing.

Goede voetschakelaar die doet wat hij moet doen.

Ik gebruik hem in combinatie met een Fender Champion 40 versterker.
Deze voetschakelaar zet een vooraf ingesteld kanaal en/of effect aan en uit. Handig zijn de rode lampjes om te zien of iets aan of uit staat.
Er zit een kabeltje bij voor aansluiting op de versterker.

Enig nadeel: hij is glad aan de onderkant waardoor hij te makkelijk verschuift op de vloer. Een rubber of rubberen noppen aan de onderkant zou welkom zijn Fender!
Daarom net geen 5 sterren.

Solide footswitch. Keurig afgewerkt en daarnaast handige lampjes die aangeven of je kanaal en/of effecten switch gebruikt!

I bought this footswitch with my Fender Champion 40 amplifier. The surface has a nice water/rain drop texture to it.
The footswitch has a really quick response and works very well with my Champion 40.

I have used it for almost a year now for small gigs and practising with my band. Sometimes I stomp really hard on it and it seems to absorb the punches really good! The only disadvantage is that it slides away easily on the ground.

I really recommend this footswitch for the right amps!
