Ongelofelijke microfoon...

Dit is de eerste microfoon die je NIET hoort.
Ik bezit verschillende best wel aardige live zangmicrofoons (o.a. Neumann KMS105 - Shure Beta 87a en Telefunken M81), maar dit is de eerste die je werkelijk NIET hoort. Hij voegt niets toe en laat vooral ook niets weg. ONGELOFELIJK !
Goed ontworpen ding met een perfect en degelijk afgewerkte behuizing en hij klinkt alsof er geen microfoon tussen zit. Volkomen natuurlijk geluid!
Okee hij kost een paar centen, maar dan heb je ook wat.
Ik heb er meteen een adaptor voor mijn draadloze Shure ULXD's bij gekocht en ook dit geval is verbazingwekkend mooi afgewerkt en de klank is ook nu perfect.

I don’t know why I held out for so long before buying this mic!

I didn’t think it would be possible to get better than the high end mics we were already using. The d:facto is in its own league and nothing else comes close. There seems to always be mics that shine in some areas and don’t in others and it’s like the d:facto fills in all the gaps and is just perfect in pretty much every situation!

Since we switched to DPA mics it’s the first time we’ve been able to sing without actually thinking about singing or worrying if unpleasant frequencies will peak during a performance. The voice you hear in your head is exactly what comes through the speakers uncoloured and super smooth from the very lowest frequencies to the highest.

Although the 4018V capsule has a very slight high frequency boost compared to the more linear 4018VL it seems to be just outside the vocal range to add a little shimmer without altering the voice itself and really makes the vocals shine for both male and female vocals

I’ve never been more impressed with a piece of equipment than the d:facto. STOP HESITATING AND BUY IT!

This mic is the most amazing piece of gear i have bought in a while. I bought it right before doing sound on a festival and used it extensively on a lot of different genres on lead vocals. During the festival i tried it on pop, rock, funk, folk and death metal vocals on both male and female vocals and in every single instance it seemed to be the perfect mic for the job! For the most time i used it on one of my Sennheiser G3 500 wireless transmitters, but sometimes with a cable through my Midas pro2 with a DL251 stagerack. The sonic difference wasn't HUGE, but i did prefer the sound of the mic through the Midas preamps over the wireless. I have even used it through an old Mackie CFX-board and it still shines through as a superb vocal mic considering the slightly shabby preamps.

I always encourage vocalists to try this mic even though they bring their own mics. Since you have the ability to take of the mic grille and wash it they become less reluctant to use it because of hygenical reasons. One time a vocalist brought her own Neumann KMS 105 (a very nice mic, indeed) to a gig i was doing sound for i managed to convince her to at least try my D:facto, she reluctantly said yes. After the sound check she told me she's going to sell her Neumann and start saving for a D:facto.

Thanks to the good people of DPA for making some of the best microphones out there, really, you guys are heroes!
