AER Dual Mix 2 Pocket Tool

I do a lot of small restaurant gigs where space is a premium and I use my AER Compact 60 which handles the duties exceptionally. Occasionally, I also play with another vocalist and I wanted something compact and easy to use that I could add to give me a couple of extra channels. This is exactly what I was looking for!

What is essentially a two-channel preamp mixer offering the same features and controls as my Compact 60, I can run this into the FX return on the amp and it turns the Compact 60 into a four-channel amp. Perfect.

Additional features include a simple effects section which means I can have more (or less) effects on the vocals than on the guitar, 24v phantom power available to switch on to either channel independently, and an aux in with its own level control should I want to add some backing tracks or have music playing in-between sets.

It's very small size makes it incredibly portable and again, means that on those gigs where space is tight, it can sit unobtrusively, right on top of the amp and deliver everything I need. On larger gigs, I run a line out of the amp into a powered speaker and I've got everything I need for great sound in a very small, compact rig.

Sure, there are cheaper mixers out there that will do a similar job but the build and sound quality of this little gem is worth every single penny and then some.

Lo utilizo para manejar a distancia mi Aer C-60. Conecto mi guitarra flamenca (1 canal para la salida del piezo electrico + 1 señal para mi micrófono de condensador con toma Phantom) y desde mi emplazamiento puedo regular la ecualización a mi gusto mezclando las dos tomas. Un buen previo. Un poco caro, todo hay que decirlo, pero de calidad. Echo en falta el botón de los medios, aunque en realidad anda suficientemente equilibrado. Otro aspecto de agradecer es que lleva incorporado el selector de reverberación. La misma conexión de entrada sirve tanto para Jack como para Canon. Aunque su nombre sugiere que puede meterse en el bolsillo, de eso nada. Lo suyo es colocarlo sobre una superficie plana, por sus dimensiones y sobre todo por la conexión del alimentador de red. El diseño es elegante y robusto. Viene con dos estuches (mezclador y alimentador) que lo protegen bien. Por el precio que tiene podría haberse incluido una salida estéreo. No obstante, en general es un producto muy recomendable.

Ich bin Liedermacher mit Loop und nutze das Teil um git/voc in das Boss Looppedal dazu bekommen und es danach im Interface wieder aufzublasen. Klare, pregnante Stimme(akg 535), satte - fette Gitarre(Alambra 5p mit cut) Auch bei der Microphonierung(Oktava MK12) meiner handgemachten Gitarre ein hervorragendes Ergebniss.

Weiters nutze ich den Dual Mix, wenn ich selber mische, als Vorverstärker und Effektproz. wenn kein brauchbares Pult am Start ist und habe auch hier ein wünschenswertes Ergebniss. Stimmen zischen an den Girarren vorbei und man (oh wunder!) versteht den Text...

2 Mankos:

1. Das netzteil ist nicht mit einer Zugentlastung versehen und löst sich etwas zu leicht für meinen Geschmack.

2. Die Effekte sind höhenlastig und verstärken somit Nebengeräusche von Body und Saiten (anundpfirsich nicht schlecht, zwingt zum sauber spielen; was auch gute Instrumente tuen sollten ;)

Ich danke AER für dieses, zugegeben nicht billige, jedoch absolut im Sektor "Lösung" anzusiedelndes Pocket Tool für akustische Musik. Viel Spaß mit dem Teil!!!
