Zildjian K-Custom Splash | Beautiful and very very smooth

As far as splashes are concerned, it's often difficult to find one that just sits nicely between the darks of crashes and the highs of rides.

They are often too bright, too clangy (bell like) or just plain overpowering.

With a splash, that isn't set up as a stack, I look for subtlety. Out of many I tried, this 8" K-Custom splash cymbal really was the part. It's pitch perfect.

It provides a perfect chromatic contrast between my K-Custom 18" Dark Crash, my 16 K Constantinople and 18" K Constantinople crashes.

Not too volatile, nor understated. Just ... perfect darkness.
8" is a good middle ground as well. 6" can often be too high... 10/12" a little too low.

I can't recommend this splash cymbal enough.

Eventuell habe ich ein etwas unausgeglichenes Modell erwischt, als Splash gespielt irritieren mich zumindest immer bestimmte Frequenzen, die dem Becken einen leicht gongigen Charakter geben. Ich kenn den Effekt von dickeren Zildjian Crashes, hätte aber nicht gedacht, dass auch kleine Splashes davon betroffen sein können. Würde ich es als Splash verwenden wollen, hätte ich es vermutlich zurück geschickt.
Haupteinsatzzweck des Beckens ist bei mir in Stacks. Unter einem 18er K Crash hat es einen schönen Effekt oder gestackt mit einem anderen Splash oder einem kleinen China Becken. Auch auf die Snare gelegt, verändert es den Sound in Richtung elektronische Snare.
Die Verarbeitung ist top.

Avec un sustain plus long que la K-splash du même diamètre, cette cymbalette est également un poil plus brillante et de sonorité plus moderne. Elle se marie bien avec les K et les K-Custom de fort diamètre auxquelles elle ajoute des colorations explosives très musicales

War bei mir zwar ursprünglich nur als Ergänzung zum 6" Splash gedacht, ist aber mittleirweile das meistgenutzte Splas von mir. Der Sound hat echte Allround Qualitäten, die Verarbeitung stimmt, und der Preis ist einem Profi Instrument angepasst, testen lohnt sich!
