Yamaha CHH930 Hi-Hat X-Hat

Quando ho deciso di aggiungere un secondo HiHat al kit ho subito cercato tra i prodotti Yamaha, che da ormai molto tempo ho apprezzato per robustezza e costruzione.
Questa asta non fa eccezione, anche se ha una dimensione compatta è solidissima e pesante, decisamente stabile.
Se pensate di utilizzarlo anche a pezzi o sezioni, ecco le misure:
- Il tubo principale ha un diametro di 22mm ed è lungo 18 cm
- il tubo telescopico lungo17 cm è di sezione 19mm,
- poi ha uno snodo zigrinato tipo giraffa con una asta giraffa lunga 19 cm di sezione 12mm,
- infine un robustissimo snodo a cilindro che porta il montante filettato dei blocchetti dell'HiHat.
Si presenta con le memorie e le regolazioni classiche di una asta hihat normale (inclinazione del piatto inferiore con la vite a molla sotto + feltrini e ghiere dado/controdado superiore + vite a farfalla superiore), ma con una particolarità: tutto il blocco inferiore si alza e abbassa avvitandolo, ed ha un galletto di bloccaggio. Questo permette una regolazione dell'apertura finissima e solida.
Questa asta non è concepita per essere remotata o comandata da un pedale, anche cambiare l'apertura mentre si suona non è immediato; credo che l'uso ottimale sia impostare l'apertura prima di suonare e tenerlo così.
Naturalmente è compatibile con le meccaniche Yamaha, ma anche con quelle di altri marchi che hanno tubi da 22mm.
Sono molto soddisfatto del prodotto e di come ha cambiato il mio modo di suonare. Con questo articolo ho potuto iniziare a suonare "aperto" senza dover studiare da mancino! Davvero molto comodo, ed è una soluzione che offre tante nuove possibilità di fraseggio.

The X-Hat is basically a CH-750 with the short cymbal arm replaced with a short boom arm, which is fitted with a 9000 step free tilter mechanism with integrated X-Hat fitting on a central spindle.
A small amount of height adjustment is available on the bottom seat mechanism. The felts supplied did not feel to be of the quality of Yamaha products but are adequate. The bottom Hi- Hat cymbal securing lock is functional. A disappointment is that there is no cymbal protection on the spindle for the bottom cymbal.
The top cymbal clutch is secure on the central spindle, again the felts are adequate but again no protection for top cymbal within the clutch. The overal length of the central spindle does not allow the use of a DW 3 position clutch.
In use on the Yamaha Hex rack system, with both 10 and 14 inch Hi-Hats the mechanisms were firm and secure and allowed a range of closed to open positions but the boom arm memory lock was an added benefit to ensure no movement with the 14 inch cymbals. The step free tilter is a welcome addition and does provide infinite adjustment but adds weight to the overall assembly.
User needs to check the position for the use of the X-Hat as there is no way to attach to a longer boom arm of the non 9000 series cymbal arms because of the integrated central spindle on to the step free tilter. in use Yamaha felts were changed for the Cympad product. X-Hat is also being used as China Cymbal holder with effects cymbal mounted into Hi-Hat clutch.
Overall a good addition to the Yamaha range and secure in use.

Hab mir nach einigen Überlegungen nun doch die - zugegebener Maße teure - Yamaha X-Hat gekauft, aber das war die richtige Entscheidung. Habe eine bunte Mixtur verschiedener Stative von Sonor, Pearl, Tama und Yamaha. Ich traue mir deshalb zu eine fundierte Meinung zu äußern. Bei dieser X-Hat ist es wie mit all meiner Yamaha Hard-Ware, die ich nun seit über 20! Jahren habe, wackelt nicht ist stabil funktional und auch noch filigran und schön anzuschauen. mit 125 ¤uronen kein Schnapp, aber jeden Cent wert.
