L'ampli e' rinato!

Il mio Fender Hot Rod Deluxe era da un po' che faceva i capricci, hum e rumori strani ad ogni minima vibrazione erano sempre piu frequenti; ero sicuro fossero le valvole essendo ancora le due finali originali Sovtek WXT 5881 marchiate Fender (l'ampli e' la versione USA di fine anni 90). Il mio tecnico mi ha consigliato le Tung Sol (che avevo gia' avuto in un altro ampli) ed in particolare queste 6L6GC, ora l'ampli (oltre a non avere i rumori di prima) suona molto caldo e profondo, i puliti grossi ma non ingolfati sulle basse e sui distorti non e' mai "acido" neanche con il singolo al ponte della Strato dentro un Fuzz Face. Suoni bilanciati con basse e medie a fuoco ed alti smussati quanto basta, valvole finali stra-consigliate!

hanno rinverdito i fasti del mio 4x10 reissue che quest'anno compie vent'anni. lo sparo a buon volume per godere ora come allora di tutta la sua cattiveria.

These tubes replaced the stock Sovtek 6L6 of an Epiphone Blues Custom 30. I didnt notice a difference in sound to be honest but what i seek is durability. I only have them for about 2 weeks so I will edit this review to the future.

It is also important to mention that Thomann delivered them to me securely, carefully packaged and they traveled a bit, so dont be afraid the transportation if you want to buy your tubes online

Personally I'm not convinced that they are worth the significant price difference or that 'matched' pairs really work better than random pairs. If you have a good paying day job and want nothing but the best for your pub band gear than these are the way to go. If you're a struggling musician than don't bother.
