Does what it is supposed to do
It makes sure you dont get the rumblings of wind in your recordings when your outside, and masks the weight of heavy breaths when used to record a voice in close quarters. However, I was informed that this would be a suitable fit for the Tascam DR05 but it is awkward to put onto the device, covering the record lights at the top of the screen and also covering the line out/headphone jack on the left. Nonetheless, I am satisfied with this product!!

Useless
Bought it to use with my Tascam DR-100 MKIII recorder. I trusted this product but it failed me on the field. A completely unreliable windscreen that can't even protect your recording from the slightest wind. Don't waste your money on this. Even a subtle wind is still audible. Sure it may not be as bad with bare mics but I am doing sensitive recordings and I want my audio to be absolutely clean with no trace of any wind noise. Reminding you that I have not used this in heavy wind, there was a very little breeze in the air and it caused peaks all around and ruined my audio.

it is better than nothing
I had to make custom hole fit the headphone jack, otherwise it would fall off the device. Wind protection is not great, would probably need one more layer of fabric or foam inside. But something is better than nothing, only I would expect better quality for that price

If you have this, everyone knows you are an audiophile collecting sound, not a seismologist or a radiation saftey officer. And therefore they dont come up to you and ask 'what are you doing?', ruining your recording of a stoat eating a rabbit.
