Dimmer

The dimmer is controllable via DMX 512. Fully digital internal driver system (10 bit resolution). Device operation includes a preheat and testing function. The status display provides detailed operational information. Protection against typical mis-connection of phase-null. Due to large sized cooling fins and intelligent cooling control the fans only run on high loads.

Depth is misleading!

Bought dimmer with the hope of fitting in a 55cm cabinet (the advertised dimensions said it would fit)
Discovered to my dismay that when output power cables were connected, it was too deep. Had to purchase, and install, an extra deep 60cm cabinet, with no back, to fit dimmer.
Furthermore, the 2 power cables purchased were different dimensions (despite same order number), with one 5cm deeper than the other.
I didn't have time to exchange the equipment and feel that Thomann should advertise/document the dimmer dimensions with cables attached.
Another small problem is that the Thomann supplied DMX terminator has got stuck. Don't know if the fault is with the dimmer or with the terminator - either way, I can't get it out.
The power-in cable is <1m long. Would be better if this was 2m
Despite all that, the dimmer works OK

We are using this dimmer pack in old houses of cultury, or small theatre. Perfect hartings connectors.

Seit einem Jahr ist die Dimmstufe im Arbeitseinsatz. Die Dimmstufe arbeitet bisher problemlos und zuverlässig. Positiv ist die temperaturgesteuerte Gebläsekühlung. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist das etwas spartanische Handbuch. Grundkenntnisse sind für den Einsatz erforderlich.
