UTILIZZO: su una PRS con sala da 25" e accordatura standard, vari generi, dal prog al metal.
PRO: non è solo un pickup per generi estremi, certo non è andatto per farci rock classico o jazz/fusion, ma sicuramente non solo per il metal.
Il magnete ceramico tende di solito a rendere poco dinamico e sterile un pickup, che è meglio per un genere estremo, ma in questo caso Seymour Duncan ha trovato quella via di mezzo che ti permette di farci un pò tutto, ho sempre utilizzato dei PAF spinti, ma delle volte, in territori metal, erano poco definiti e rendevano non benissimo.
CONTRO: nessuno secondo me.
RIEPILOGO: per chi ha bisogno di una certa potenza, e che ha bisogno di versatilità. consigliato.

per un suono bello pesante

ideali per una distorsione bella pesante. ma non mi hanno deluso neanche nei suoni puliti. unico piccolo neo avrei preferito un po' più di spinta al pickup al manico. ma veramente buoni. consigliati per hard rock e metal. con questi pickup c'è bisogno di poco gain per sentire già un bel ruggito.

potenti hardcore stile alla Kirk Hammet
mettete questi pickup su qualsiasi chitarra con un legno discreto e otterrete un suono magnifico
io li ho montati su 2 chitarre cinesi cambiando anche potenziometri e switch ed il risultato e' stato quasi un sogno.

If you want to perform extreme musical styles with chunky distortion YET a lot of signal separation and clarity, these pickups will not disappoint. Very bright, hot and loud but without making the sound into a mess/wall of noise. I was genuinely surprised by the ability to hear individual tones when a lot of notes/strings are played together. Would definitely recommend these. I'm also interested to try the "black winter" pickups someday BUT I think the Distortion mayhem set is probably more useful for a wider spectrum of musicians.

Not a problem playing without high gain, too. "Clean" tones come through well, not overly grumbly/crunchy.

I put 3/5 for "quality" as Thomann shipped me what looked like a 2nd/returned box, which was cracked and in a bit of a mess. Pickups were fine, though, not a problem.

I also think there should be a more exhaustive explanation of wiring. I've no problem with this, but I can imagine it might confuse people not familiar with the inner workings of guitars. All wiring diagrams are technically available on the Seymour Duncan site, though, so bear this in mind if your guitar model isn't covered in the instructions (mine wasn't)
