An excellent choice for a standard set of chimes, with extra bits included!

Treeworks sets the bar for their beautifully made, hand-tied chimes. The sound is excellent, wonderfully controlled, and the product visually looks very high-quality.

The bonus that ties everything together is that the dampening bar and case come part of the package, creating an elegant professionalism to the instrument. I use it as part of Theatre, Orchestral, Wind and Brass Band concerts. No more carrying mark trees around in cardboard tubes!

Die Chimes habe ich mir aufgrund des Soundbeispiels ausgesucht und war angenehm überrascht das die wirklich so klingen wie in dem Soundbeispiel. Eigentlich bin ich Drummer, durch einen Zufall aber in die Percussionwelt hinein geraten. Die Chimes klingen natürlich und klar ohne irgendwie aufdringlich zu werden. Auf ganzer breite gespielt bieten sie ein tolles Klangbild. Zudem besteht die Möglichkeit die Chimes durch den angebrachten Bügel mit Filzbelag,zu dämpfen. Die Chimes sind absolut solide gefertigt, keine Plastikschnüre wurde verwandt. Sie kamen in einem soliden Gigbag in dem die Chimes sicher transportiert werden können. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen, ich habe sehr lange auf die Dinger warten müssen, hierfür kann Thomann aber nichts. Das Warten jedoch hat sich gelohnt..........

I play in a rock-blues band and I like using chimes in quiet passages - I tried various models over the years, but when I heard these I knew: this is IT. I was overjoyed to find them in Thomann, didn't know they were available in Europe. They arrived in just 2 days, then came the first swipe of a drumstick and first my jaw dropped, then those of my band-mates...

It's hard to write about sound, but I'll try: they are full, powerful and plenty loud, but at the same time delicate, crystalline and SO musical. There's a note of silver and precious crystals and yes, I know, I'm no poet, so I'll stop right here. Just do yourself a favor and give them a try.

PROS: fabulous sound, beautifully made, extremely useful sustain control bar and a nice carrying case which protects the bars from getting entangled

CONS: none. OK, the case could have some sort of fleece lining to even better immobilize the individual bars in transport, but it's just me nitpicking.

Summing up: a gorgeous instrument, even if you play other brand of chimes, do give those a try!
