Nice choice , time will tell

Like many buyers, I chose this black "suede" finish only to aesthetically fit my black drumkit . I'm new to Emperor heads and I was looking for a double ply of 7mil each , at least.
The difference with my beloved Aquarian Deep Vintage II heads (double ply , 10mil each ) is only about the attack, so far. Slightly sharper on the Emperor, of course due to a minor thickness.
I will see if also the endurance and the average life of the Emperor can be compared to the Aquarian ( mounted and dismounted 6 times on 3 different drumkit , sounds great each time . Bought in 2019 ).

Une peau qui dure, dure, dure...

Montée sur mon tom alto en remplacement de ma peau d'origine (une Remo toute blanche, pas changée en 6 ans...), le changement ne fut que bénéfique ! Je peux frapper, éclater mes baguettes, mettre la tête de mon bassiste dedans (nan j'exagère, quoi que...), elle ne bronche pas et elle sonne bien !

Utilizo este parche para la caja (snare) de 10" de mi sonor jungle y tiene un excelente sonido, sobre todo al usarla con plumillas o escobillas, para tocar jazz en pequenios clubs.

Ademas se ve genial el parche negro en la bateria.

Auf der Suche, nach dem perfekten Sound für mein Sonor Prolite Kit, hab ich mich dieses Mal für diese Felle entschieden und bin wirklich begeistert.

Spiele meine Toms relativ tief gestimmt und ohne Dämpfung und mit diesen Fellen erziele ich dadurch den für mich perfekten Sound. Warm und mit ordentlich Low-end wie ein Coated, aber gleichzeitig mit schönem Attack wie bei nem Clear. Es ist wirklich das Beste aus beiden Welten und sieht dazu noch mega geil aus.

Verarbeitung ist wie immer bei REMO top.

Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die Felle Kosten um einiges mehr, als z.B die Emperor Coated, welche ich normalerweise verwende. Wenn man, so wie ich mindestens einmal Jährlich seine Felle wechselt, geht das bei 4 Toms doch ganz schön ins Geld.
