Inutile dire quanto suoni bene.
ho avuto molti microfoni in studio, ma questo è il primo che ti permette, innanzitutto di registrare praticamente qualsiasi fonte sonora con un risultato inattaccabile e non portarti dentro la DAW il suono del microfono , ma quello della fonte.
Nessuna risonanza particolare nè in EQ additiva che sottrattiva, pieno e arioso, non dà mai la sensazione di uno spettro scavato, resta morbido e compatto, come risposta, anche a parità di risposta a transienti veloci.

Unico limite per cui vale riflettere molto bene sull'acquisto, visto il costo, è la bassa sensibilità di soli 11 mV/Pa che si traduce nell'esigenza di utilizzare più guadagno sul preamp introducendo potenzialmente più rumore di fondo e/o suono ambientale. Questo può anche essere un vantaggio vista la SPL che maneggia, tuttavia (ecco perchè non è un 5 stelle pieno) toglie un po' di senso alla attenuazione di -6 e -12 db che resta comunque utile per la ripresa di amplificatori e batterie.

Un microfono che può essere tranquillamente acquistato come definitivo, senza troppe remore a patto di avere preamplificatori e ambienti di ripresa all'altezza delle sue caratteristiche.

Exxpensive but worth it

If this microphone has five polar patterns then I can justify the cost of five microphones!
In test, used it so far for vocal and acoustic guitar. It is stunningly good and very pleasing to the ear. Clean, clear and crisp. No colouration and produces the integrity of the original sound source.
The toggle switch for the polar patterns is functional but requires a little bit of time to understand how it works and master selection. Indicators on the microphone light up temporarily to indicate which mode is selected, so you can't go wrong. However, the indicators are on the reverse side of the microphone which can be a little annoying at times when adjusting, especially when it is in a cradle mount. This microphone is beautifully crafted and comes in a very nice wooden box with a mount for microphone stand. You will need to purchase a cradle mount, sold separately. The original cradle mount is very expensive but check out Rycote equivalent designed for this model. Overall, it works fine for me. I love this microphone and any criticisms are minor niggles. It is expensive but absolutely worth it.

My first Neumann and it's great!

In short, I love this microphone. It makes vocals feel very up front and in your face. Great detail as well and you can really hear the intricacies of the voice, or whatever you put it on. Neumann have said that it's pop resistant, but you really need to use a pop filter anyway, but this isn't really a problem (if you have one!).

The microphone pickup pattern selector is pretty fancy and in my limited experience these kind of things tend to break after a while, but this feels solid and like it'll definitely go the distance. There has obviously been a lot of thought gone into this mic and Neumann's reputation in superior build quality is upheld with this mic.

I bought the additional shock mount, as the one that's supplied is a little inadequate. This is the only bad point to the mic in my opinion - why wouldn't they supply it with the shock mount?

As always, exceptional service from Thomann and couldn't recommend this enough. This has become my go to mic in very little time and I look forward to the day when I can buy a U87!

Great and versatile Mic!!!

The TLM107 is my first Neumann mic and I did a lot of research, before buying it.
It is very neutral with clarity and detail at all frequencies.
Great at vocals, acoustic guitars, percussion, strings and just about everything, I've tried it on!
I like it better than my AKG C414 BXLII, which is also a great mic, but a little too bright in the "s" frequencies and in some cases a little "boxy".
The built quality is very high, as expected from Neumann.
I suggest that one should also buy the dedicated shock mount, as it is sensitive to handling noise, more so than the AKG C414.
The only thing that I don't like so much, is that the controls are on the back and they go off in 15sec, so it is a little difficult to change settings, if you're recording yourself.
Otherwise it is my best mic so far!
I guess only time will tell about its durability(especially in the electronics department)...
