La Bella 760FS-B Deep Talkin Bass

Dopo aver provato tantissime marche, sia su bassi a 4 che a 5 corde, fretted e fretless, sono passato alle La Bella e probabilmente ho trovato la corda definitiva! In questo caso, parlo della muta per basso a 5 corde "La Bella 760FS-B Deep Talkin Bass". Corde semplicemente perfette, con un B low ottimo, scorrevolissime e morbide nonostante abbiano la fama di essere esattamente l'opposto. Avendo mani piccole pensavo che fosse un problema suonare una tipologia di corde perfettamente lisce come queste, senza il grip che offre una rounwound...e invece, dopo un normale periodo di assestamento, mi ci sono abituato e non tornerò più indietro. Suono qualsisi genere e trovo che siano superiori se messe a confronto con quelle di altre marche. C'è da dire che serve più precisione nella pressione e posizione delle dita sui tasti, se si vuole ottenere un suono senza sentirle "friggere", quindi bisogna farci l'abitudine. Se uno è abituato a vincere facile con corde rounwound, le sconsiglio...se però ci si vuole impegnare un pochino, una volta abituati, si noterà una netta differenza nell'esecuzione, con passaggi più fluidi e quasi del tutto privi dei soliti e sgradevoli rumori dati dallo sfregamento delle dita sulle corde. Consigliatissime!!!

I decided to take the plunge and finally get a set of flatwounds having been a roundwound man exclusively for the many basses that I've owned over the years. I currently have a Fender Jazz 5 string, and in my opinion the overall natural unaffected sound/tone of this bass (my particular bass) was always too toppy for my tastes. So now, years down the line I've researched which brand/make of flatwounds might work best for me and I came up with these La Bella's. Needless to say I'm extremely happy with the results and I've now got an earthier sound going on with my bass that I can happily work with. I'm still getting used to the feel of flats though as opposed to rounds - but the sound is perfect.
