great jazz sound

I just receive this guitar today. I am very delighted with the sound of the mics. They have such a smooth and mellow texture. The quality of the features and the factory set-ups are great as i could plug it and play my tunes out of the box. Something is not perfect still for me is the process of changing the strings. It seems not very easy as i never had such a system before. But i will analyse it and find my way for it. The size of the body and his weight are not usual for a jazz guitar, so far i like it, more smaller than a Pat Metheny signature style. It will need some set-up still as the protective plate as a little problem i think witch need to be fix. So far it is a great jazz guitar for this price from Ibanez. i recommend it to the jazz guitarists and others.

Small details, big differences

If you buy this, is highly recommend you buy one Ebony bridge, the wood was made this model is too soft, and only the pressure of strings bent the wood and son you will get problem with it. I trowed in garbage in second day of use.
Frets are sharp corners and some are flat, not crowded in rigth angle.
Small scratches, glue, paint and dots misaligned in fretboard dots are present in the piece I recieved.

Soo if you make upgrade and setting property will sound good.

Eine sehr günstige GB10, die man gut aufrüsten kann

Mit der teuren japanischen GB10 habe ich schon lange geliebäugelt, konnte bisher jedoch den Preis, der an der 3000 EUR-Marke kratzt, für mich nicht rechtfertigen. Die mittelpreisige China-Version wollte ich nicht. Deshalb die ganz günstige indonesische Version.

Ich kann nur sagen, dass es ein tolles Instrument ist. Sicherlich sehen die verbauten Plastikteile billig aus. Doch die können mit den teureren Ibanez-Ersatzteilen der echten GB10 ausgetauscht werden, was ich auch gemacht habe. Insbesondere das Schlagbrett und die Potis wirken in dem schnöden Schwarz nicht sonderlich wertig. Die wurden jetzt durch eine Tortoise-Pickguard sowie honigfarbene Shure Gripp III-Potis ersetzt, die man beim Vertriebspartner von Ibanez oder bei Thomann bestellen kann.

Nun jedoch zum wichtigsten Punkt: Sound und Bespielbarkeit sind bei der GB10EM sehr gut. Der Hals ist ein Traum, die Werkseinstellung sehr sauber. Der Sound ist voll, dennoch knackig. Typisch GB10 ist das Instrument auch für harten Funk oder soften Bossa ausgelegt, also deutlich versatiler als die klassischen Archtops.

Sicherlich, die Bünde werde ich noch in den oberen und unteren Lagen nachpolieren. Die floating Humbucker klingen toll, auch wenn der Output etwas geringer als bei anderen Stromgitarren ist.

Rundum ist dieses Instrument für den Bühneneinsatz sowie Home Recording super. Es wäre mir nicht zu schade, wenn man ein Kratzer in den Lack kommen sollte, was bei der japanischen GB10 eindeutig der Fall wäre. Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Guitarra jazz con unas dimensiones casi de Les Paul

Hace tiempo que buscaba una guitarra de cuerpo hueco sin las excesivas dimensiones de las guitarras “culonas” y por fin he encontrado este modelo. Cuerpo muy discreto de 37 cm en la parte más ancha y 7 cm de fondo. No obstante, gracias a que puente y pastillas son flotantes, el sonido acústico es muy agradable y enchufada suena muy bien. El mástil es muy cómodo, incluso con las cuerdas de calibre 11 que trae montadas. Además, con escala corta de 62,4 (Gibson) frente a la escala de 64,8 que tienen la mayoría de guitarras en este estilo. En definitiva, es lo que buscaba
