Ich habe diesen Sub auf Empfehlung von HK mit meinen Linear 5 112 FA getestet.
Mein Ziel war es, für möglichst viele Räumlichkeiten eine preiswerte PA als 2.1 System zusammenzustellen, welche sowohl für eine kleine Akustikband aber auch für eine Bandbesetzung mit Drums, A&EGitarre, Bass... einsetzbar ist und gute Klangeigenschaften aufweist. Da wir meist bei mittleren Veranstaltungen z.B. in Kirchen spielen, ist für mich weniger der Schalldruck als viel mehr das saubere und aufgeräumte Klangbild des Subwoofers wichtig.
Zur Auswahl standen:
HK PL 118 Sub, HK Linear Sub 1500 A und HK Liner Sub 1800 A.

Auspacken:
Angenehme Größe. Lässt sich daher noch alleine aus/einladen. Auch das Gewicht mit 35kg ist noch im Rahmen. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und wirkt stimmig mit der Linear 3/5 Serie. Die Frontgitter sind wie bei der Linear 3/5 sehr stabil und können ohne weiteres beim Auf/Abbau mit Equipment beladen werden.

Klang:
In Kombination mit der 112FA perfekt. Sehr saubere und differenzierte Klangwiedergabe. Gesamtsystem klingt sehr Linear und wie aus einem Guss. Die Übernahmefrequenz des Subwoofers lässt sich nur erahnen.
Wählt man die Grenzfrequenz bei 120Hz kann man auch noch etwas mehr Kick aus der Bassdrum herausholen. Als 2.1 System kommt der Sub allerdings bei mittleren Räumlichkeiten (>80m²) an seine Grenzen. Auch werden tiefe Bässe bauartbedingt (15Zoll...) nicht ganz so schön wiedergegeben wie beim 1800A.

Fazit:
Für mich der perfekte Subwoofer zum 112FA als Half- oder Fullstack.

Klein aber oho! Ein schöner leichter Sub mit richtig Dampf. Dieser Bass ist so schön knackig und harmoniert wunderbar mit der LINEAR 3 112 FA. Der Bass ist für Rollenmontage vorbereitet, nur noch die vorhandenen Schrauben raus drehen, blaue Rollen dran, fertig. Ich betreibe zwei Bässe mit den 12er Tops von HK als DJ, das reicht für 300 Pax. Und in der Band haben wir nochmal das Gleiche System, so dass für größere Veranstaltungen oder Open Air auch das Fullstack mit 4 Bässen zur Verfügung steht. Dann gehts richtig zur Sache.
