Nylon brushes are good, but the cotton not so much
I use the nylon brushes with a Heyday's "carbon cleaning rod", and they are somewhat better for cleaning the leadpipe than using a "snake" type brush. These brushes are better suited to the tight diameter, as trumpet snake brushes are really a little too large. These remove the dirt quicker and more thoroughly.
I don't understand how the included cotton mop is supposed to be useful, though. Maybe it is supposed to absorb moisture, after a wet cleaning? The problem is, it sucks up the water, but it also leaves a lot of cotton in there. Completely useless.
