Ottima chitarra
andsalomoni 14.07.2020
Contentissimo dell'acquisto.

Great instrument for the price
Francesco319 27.11.2014
A nice, good looking and discretely good sounding guitar, expecially at this price. It's not the most resonating and rich sounding resonator guitar you'll buy, but at this price the sound it has is way more that I was expecting. A little bit hard to play for guitarists with small hands, if you want to to fingerpicking. Works well with slide. the finish is quite good, the neck was smooth enough, but not 100% even in the wook-working.
At this price I would definetely say that it's a good investement for your home recording studio, if you want a cheap guitar that records well country or bluesy lines.

First Resonator - not disappointed!
Anonimo 24.04.2015
This is the first resonator guitar which I've owned which I bought after wanting something a little different to my other guitars and I have certainly not been disappointed.

The guitar arrived in good time and was well packed.

It's quite a heavy guitar, as you would expect, and is sturdy and well made. The neck has a nice feel to it and is easy to play. There is a really nice tone to the guitar, which is quite loud and it's interesting to hear how different pieces can sound when you've been used to playing them on a 'regular' acoustic.

The tuning pegs seem good quality and so far it has held its tuning well over the week or so that I've had it.

The guitar definitely suits certain music styles better than others and is most at home with blues and country style music. Slide guitar sounds very good, and while I'm a bit of a novice with a slide it has certainly spurred me on to learn some slide blues tunes.

Overall I would recommend this guitar to anyone who is interested in getting a resonator guitar and in adding a different sound to their guitar arsenal. It's a great looker too and has already gained a lot of compliments from non-guitar playing friends.

I think it will take some time to get the best out of this guitar and learn what suits it best but it's a journey I'm looking forward to.

Amazing value!
John-T 02.05.2022
Having done my research, the Gretsch G9201Honey Dipper Resonator certainly appeared my best option, and I am not disappointed.
Looking at the competition, price point, reviews across the internet and talking to friends who have their own opinions about such things, I took the gamble (despite my concerns about purchasing unseen, online and relying on postal delivery), delivery was efficient and the packaging ensured a safe delivery. I now am the proud owner of the exact same Gretsch Honey Dipper Resonator as played by Justin Johnson, I just need to get practicing, and possibly invest in an appropriate pick up system. In conclusion, I can’t find a fault, on opening the packaging found the set up from factory was spot on, strings are good (appear to be D’Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze, light .012 - .053 and just required tuning - to open G). All in all, very impressed both with guitar and Thomann level of service!
