Gretsch Catalina Club Studio - SWG '14

Acquistata nel 2015, devo dire che sono stato soddisfatto a pieno della mia prima Gretsch, ottime rifiniture buon legno gran bel desgin con ottimo sound.
Notavo che costa ancora quasi 600£, la pagai circa 530£ ricordo.
La scelta fù presa in base alla qualità del mogano che taglia i suoni bassi del 30% come qualità di legno rispetto alle altre batterie in commercio, ti permette di eseguire un amplia gamma di generi musicali, dal jazz rock & metal ed ecc, caratteristica che piace a me come tipo di suono in una batteria.
La consiglio perchè la Grestch è pur sempre una Grestch.

Ottima batteria per prezzo/prestazioni

Gran bella batteria, con un suono leggermente stoppato (ma non troppo).
Ottima resa per concerti in locali medio/piccoli con la possibilità di utilizzare un piatto sopra la grancassa (con una semi-asta da acquistare separatamente).
L'unico difetto riscontrato (ma comune ad altre batterie) è relativo al timpano (floor tom) che almeno inizialmente tende a scordarsi (ogni tanto occorre riaccordare alcune viti).

Neat Little Kit

Perfect if you're gigging in small spaces but still want to bring the thunder.

One of the first things you notice about it is how good it looks, it really is a beautiful drum kit, it always gets compliments at gigs. The coated heads also help provide a nice vintage appeal.

It is nice and light, and not too large, so fits nicely into cars for easy transport.

The rack tom attachment can make the tom sit slightly off and move about easily. However, adjusting the angle is easy.
Some of the tuning lugs can also come loose quicker than others.

Overall, it is a great kit and I'm glad I bought it.
If you're looking for a good quality kit at a lower price, it's a good choice.

Excellent Drum kit

This is an excellent drum kit. The finish looks lovely, and the hardware is low mass, yet stable and really lets the drums resonate.

There is good separation between the toms, and have a nice warm vintage tone. They have a good tuning range, so you can get jazzy high pitch or lower rock pitches without everything getting muddy.

The snare also has a great tuning range and is really responsive, picking up all ghost notes as well as having good volume.

Bass drum sounds great unmuffled. Without muffling it has a good sound without too many weird overtones. Adding some dampening to the batter head makes it very punchy.

Generally the kit is very well balanced in terms of tone, and no part of the drumkit feels like it's overpowering the rest of the kit.

Can't think of any negatives to the kit. Really sounds like it's worth a lot more than it really is, especially with the beautiful walnut finish.
