Great snare drum from Gretsch

This snare is great. I can tune it high and low, and responds quite well. It has a nice focused sound, very warn and cuts through quite well. It can also be used with different snare wires, at the moment with a wider 42 canopus snare wire. It makes the snare sound quite fat, but yer articulate enough. The quality is great. The only thing I don?t really like is the little screws to fix the snare wires, they are too small. So changing the snare wires requires some patience.
Great snare drum for the price and is USA made!

top snaredrum!

Wat een sound! Alles wat je van een goede Gretsch snaredrum mag verwachten. Zeer veelzijdig ook. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is ook heel goed. Ik heb al heel wat snaredrums bespeeld waaronder ook veel duurdere exemplaren maar deze snare kan met alles wedijveren. Als je gek bent op de snaredrumsound van Charlie Watts; zoek niet verder! Bijkomend voordeel: het is ook nog eens een schitterende snare om te zien!

Très bonne caisse claire, précise , puissante avec un son plus chaud et moins métal que le modèle aluminium de la même marque. Les harmoniques sont présentes mais très contrôlables. La finition est au rendez-vous. Déclencheur précis. Seul bémol, la caisse claire est livrée avec un timbre 42 brins, ce qui ne correspond pas au modèle Brooklyn COB, qui n'en comporte que 20. Je suis dans toujours dans l'attente de l'envoi par Thomann du timbre figurant sur la fiche technique du produit.
