Un ottima scelta

Ho spostato il kit 8320+7350 alla TV perché non riesco a missare col subwoofer, ho bisogno di ascoltare un puro stereo e per questo ho le 8330 che sono perfette per il mio piccolo studio (3X2) dove invece il 7350 ad alto volume creava confusione nonostante il GLM. In salotto (6X4) la situazione cambia radicalmente. L'abbinamento con i 8320 (monitor fantastici che meriterebbero un ingresso AES) è perfetto. Come in un piccolo studio di mix cinema: dialoghi timbrati e chiari, dinamica, musica: è un piacere vedere un film o una serie avendo un ascolto di riferimento. Acquisto consigliatissimo per uno studio che abbia una dimensione pari alla lunghezza d'onda di una frequenza grave, diciamo 4 metri. Se lo studio è più piccolo consiglio una buona coppia stereo che arrivi a 40-45 Hz. Due parole per Thomann: è un grande piacere essere un cliente affezionato di questo negozio fatto da persone che sanno lavorare. Ammirazione.

Subwoofer used for home stereo

This subwoofer seems very solidly built, works and sounds well.

I am using this sub to extend the bass response of a pair of 8330 monitors, which I am using as a home stereo system in 25 sq. m room. This not only relieved the monitors of having to produce bass frequencies, which probably resulted in clearer sound with decreased distortion, but it also enabled to solve the bass problem in my room. With the fixed position of the monitors and listening position, you can move the subwoofer around the room as much as the cables allow and find optimal position for it.

The calibration is an extremelly usefull tool, expecially in the bass region, where the room response can extremelly boost some frequencies.

As a result of being able to move the sub to the optimal position and calibration now I have flat bass response from cca 23 Hz to the crossover frequency (80 Hz). I bet not even a lot of studios have such a good sound as the one I have now.

Even this smallest subwoofer and second smallest monitors play better than any non calibrateable passive system for any price could, with the sound level of course limited by their size, but I would not be able to play louder anyway because of the neighbours.

I am very happy with this "small" 7350 sub and the whole system.

Works perfect with Genelec 8300 system.

If,
You have Genelec main speaker,
Your main speaker size <= 5 inch,
You have GLM2.0 kit with you,
You are not sensitive on the price,
You are lazy to tune the speaker+subwoofer.

Then,
Go and get this one.

Entry level GLM subwoofer

While the price seems excessive (it did to me, considering the two monitors and the GLM kit were only 200 GBP more), it's worth the money.

The 7350 is a beast of a subwoofer, and while it won't go as low as Genelec's top of the range, it does the job pefectly. Paired with the 8320 and using the GLM kit v3, you get impactful low end, tailored to the room, and the monitors are saved from wasting energy on the low end.
