My first fender

I was not blown away of how it felt and played out of the box. Setup was lacking at best and the frets were pretty sharp.
Pros: Solid build quality and features, all the hardware seems good quality.
Good overall sound for what i'm after.
The satin on the back of the neck feels really nice.
Looks
Cons:
The nut - plastic, nothing special. I had tuning problems from the get-go, pinging noises so I had to polish it and use some pencil led. It amazes me fender uses such a cheap component when guitars half the price have TusqXL nuts (this would be an upgrade i am really considering).
The string retainer not having a spacer I felt created a lot of friction/pinging and contributed to the guitar not staying in tune, so I added one.
Fret work problems - one of the frets did not stick correctly in the groove and you could see how much material was taken off in the leveling process. The side of the neck looks horrific in that side of the neck, like the tool could not cut a clean fret slot.
Finishing - I could spot a few blemishes in the paint both on the fretboard - blobs of glue/lacquer close to the frets. The metallic paint had some blemishes close to the top horn, nothing you would spot unless you really try to find something wrong.

Overall i am happy with the guitar, with the trem set to the body the guitar stays in tune nicely and I enjoy picking it up everytime

Fell in love at first sight

It's like a girl on the subway who you liked for her simplicity and tidepool colour eyes. It looks nothing special, but it hooked you. Taking it in your hands, you don't want to let go, the sounds she makes are just music for your ears. You understand that she will not conquer the world with it, but it will change yours 100%.

It’s my first time buying a strat so I decided to go with a fender and I gotta say, this guitar makes it worth!

Love the tidepool finish and the classic tone/feel, you can never go wrong with this one. :)

Eine Gitarre fürs Leben

Mein Sohn ist nun seit einem halben Jahr glücklicher Besitzer der Fender Player Series Strat HSS MN TPL . Er hatte das Glück, dass die family zusammen gelegt hat und er diese Gitarre zum Geburtstag bekam. Es ist seine erste eigene E-Gitarre und bisher hatte er zum spielen in einer kleinen Band nur ein Leihinstument zur Verfügung. Wir sind also greenhorns auf diesem Gebiet, weshalb wir vorher beim Musiklehrer meines Sohns um Rat gefragt haben und er hatte eine Fender Stratocaster in dieser Preiskategorie empfohlen, damit er auch noch Freude an seiner Gitarre hat, wenn er aus dem „Anfängerstadium“ raus ist.
Mein Sohn ist sehr zufrieden und er spielt sehr gerne und häufig auf ihr, sie könnte echt eine Gitarre fürs Leben werden. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, der Hals ist schön zu greifen, alles ist glatt und die Seiten lassen sich sehr einfach stimmen und sie verstimmt sich auch nicht schnell. Ausserdem hat sie einen guten cleanen Sound.
Mit dem Thomann-Service waren wir sehr zufrieden, denn wir waren sehr spät dran und wollten die Gitarre noch rechtzeitig zum Geburtstag geliefert bekommen. Außerdem hatten wir zusätzlich nach einer Überprüfung gefragt, denn wir wollten sie auf keinen Fall wieder zurückschicken, da es sich ja um ein Geschenk handelte. Es hat alles super gut geklappt, sie wurde ganz schnell geprüft und sehr schnell versendet und kam dann rechtzeitig in tadellosem Zustand bei uns an. Bei telefonischen Rückfragen wurde mir stets schnell und freundlich geholfen.

Eine tolle Gitarre mit super Verarbeitung und klasse Thomann-Service!
