Bester Sound bisher, gerade wenn man übermäßig gedämpfte Felle eher nicht so mag aber trotzdem einen Metal tauglichen Attack aus seinem Fell bekommen möchte.

Es ist ein kleiner Dämmring auf der Innenseite, der leider sehr grobschlechtig ausgeschnitten worden ist, was meinen ersten Eindruck zunächst etwas betrübt hat.

Davor hatte ich das Emad Heavyweight drauf, bei dem ich den Dämmring einfach entfernt hatte. (nicht optimal) Anfangs gefiel mir das Fell sehr gut, ließ allerdings recht schnell vom Sound nach und wurde dann etwas stumpf (Basketballeffekt vergleichbar mit Superkick II zB.)

Ich finde das EQ4 is der perfekte Kompromiss aus Stärke und Sound!

Great head for open sound

I use this head on an open 24" maple kick drum . The sound is huge is the walls will start to shake if you do not bury the beater. Perfect head if you are looking for a Keith Carlock type of sound.
