I have a set of the Evans Calftone drumheads, and I can honestly say these are among the best heads I have ever played! They definitely don't feel hugely durable, like the Hydraulic range, but they are by no means "weaker" than the G1 heads. They offer a delightfully warm tone that sounds great with or without dampening. I used the Evans e-rings to test that (I don't own any moongel or anything of the sort). If you aren't too much of a heavy hitter and are looking for a classic sound then these are for you!

Vintage - Look mit gutem Sound

Ich verwende dieses Fell auf einem Tama Cocktail Jam Kit, sprich auf einem Tom ohne Resonanzfell. Meine Spielweise würde ich eher als leise (Akustisches Swing-Trio) bezeichnen.

Das Calftone hat ein wenig mehr Eigendämpfung und klingt kürzer gegenüber den originalen TAMA-Fellen. Die Obertöne sind ebenfalls etwas bedämpft.
Dabei ist der Klang immer noch schön dynamisch und gut Akzentuierbar.
Bei Verarbeitung und Stimmbarkeit habe ich ebenfalls durchweg positive Eindrücke.

Insgesamt hält es also was es verspricht:
Einen wertigen Vintage-Look und auch den Sound kann man gut in diese Richtung trimmen.

Sur wavedrum

Utilisée sur korg wavedrum, elle remplace bien la peau d'origine ( plus fragile ).
Néanmoins,elle paraît un peu plus épaisse que l'originale ( finesses en moins au niveau toucher de peau ?)
