Elysia xfilter

Ho inserito nel mio impianto high end (ampli Threshold classe A, pre + finali) questo eq, per effettuare 2 piccole correzioni nella risposta in frequenza dell'impianto.
Le campane dei 2 filtri parametrici midlow e midhight sono estremamente aperte (avranno un Q di 0,5 in modalità narrow e 0,2/0,3 in wide ), per cui questo equalizzatore va bene più che altro per caratterizzare il suono e NON per correggere buchi o risonanze dell'ambiente di ascolto.
Le sweppate di REW mostrano che posizionando il curore midlow in modo narrow a 200Hz, la campana agisce a partire da 1KHz e il filtro midhigh posizionato a 8KHz, inizia a lavorare da 2Khz.
Interessante invece la modalità shelf che rispetta i diagrammi postati sul manuale istruzioni.
Il suono e le microdinamiche non vengono intaccati per nulla. La trasparenza di questo apparecchio è assoluta!!
PRO:
-trasparenza assoluta del suono
-nessun noise o rumble introdotto, silenziosissimo
-molto musicale

CONTRO:
-filtri parametrici con campana troppo larga
-mancanza di filtro parametrico sui bassi; lo shelf presente è insufficente per eseguire una correzione in ambiente dei sub.
-NON adatto a correggere buchi o risonanze importanti in ambiente

Direi che non c'è molto da dire su questo equalizzatore. Pur non essendo la versione "mastering" è precisissimo e davvero ben suonante. Ha il classico feeling da eq analogico che non è paragonabile a quello che piò fare un plugin.

Ho dato 4 stelle sulla fabbricazione per un semplice motivo: l'interruttore di accensione posteriore risulta molto scomoda.

Very sturdy design, but only 2kg.. Looks good, full metal construction, including knobs! ...The important things..... its transparent...the sound is crispy and in same way is very silky, you can make it thin... you can make it thick... Need more silky vocal? Voila! Need punchy bass? No problem! Its pure class A. It has 41 (!!!) steps for every parameter. Its the only device that have true stereo link ... only one control for both channels! Perfect! Nobody did it before.

I started using it as a "magic, super power secret weapon" for...HI-FI system... Yes... Not many people using those devices in audiophile setups... but believe me ... This device, is doing a great job! More than that, it can be used as an ultimate EQ for headphone setup. (or hi-end systems) If you have a problems in your setup (acoustics? 6K Peaks ?) , the cables will never fix it..
This Elysia will do it for you. It can fix the 6K peak of HD800 in two seconds! Its really amazing. Its can add a warm bass sound to every song that missing it...

It very well build , its screams "quality", 3 different outputs.
Made in Germany , and has a very good quality , metal knobs.

Cons: I just wish to get it in smaller package, not the 19",
but its a PRO equipment, that make a great job, so...
