Great professional cajon!

This is an amazing Cajon. The bases are deep and the opens are crisp. I am a professional percussionist that plays the Cajon for the style of Flamenco, but this Cajon works great when I have to play other styles too. For example: rock, latin or boss nova. De Gregorio is one of the top Cajon luthiers. This Cajon is a testament to his craftsmanship and artistry. I also own the De Gregorio Paquito Signature Series and that sounds amazing too! If you are serious about learning to play Cajon, I recommend purchasing this Cajon, especially at this price range. You are getting a superior instrument than what you could get from other brands for the same price range. Also, thank you to Thomann and their great service. I live in the U.S. and the Cajon was sent out immediately and arrived promptly. Shipping charges are low enough that it makes sense to buy from the U.S.

Rundum perfekt!

Ich spiele schon seit langer Zeit ausschließlich Cajones mit Snareteppich, habe "meinen Sound" gefunden und mich schon eine Weile mit dem Gedanken getragen, eine Stringed Cajon zu zulegen. Spiele hauptsächlich im Bereich Weltmusik, Singer/Songwriter, Jazz... und will mein Wissen in Richtung Flamenco erweitern. Inspiriert durch das Lehrbuch Cajon Jam der Firma De Gregorio (sehr zu empfehlen!) und danach einigen Mails mit Paolo De Gregorio selber (der ausnehmend freundlich und hilfsbereit ist und mich perfekt beraten hat) fiel die Wahl dann auf die DG De Gregorio Tokayo Stripe. Schon beim Auspacken war ich begeistert von der Verarbeitung, vom dezenten, edlen Style und vom Geruch(!!!) des Instruments. Grossartig verarbeitet. Sie war werksmäßig super eingestellt.ich habe aber dennoch ein bißchen getüftelt und den Sound für mich noch optimiert. (Da ist einiges an Möglichkeiten offen, ich empfehle aber, den Sound in kleinen nachvollziehbaren und auch wieder umkehrbaren Schritten zu verändern.) Die Soundvielfalt ist, wenn man sich ein bißchen beschäftigt, phänomenal, ob mit Händen, Fingern, Rods, oder brushes gespielt. (Mit Fingern/Händen gespielt hat die Cajon 5 verschiedene snare/open/Ton -Sounds auf Lager!) ich kann alles bisherige spielen und habe noch dass aggressiv-direkt-kompakte, das ich bei Aufnahmen aus dem Flamenco Bereich kenne. An der (authentischen) Technik werde ich noch ein Weilchen arbeiten, aber dafür ist das oben erwähnte Lehrbuch eine super Hilfe. Derzeit verwende ich das Teil als meine Übecajon. Bevor ich sie auf die Bühne mitnehmen, möchte ich noch ihre Möglichkeiten ausloten. Da ist noch einiges zu entdecken. Es hat einen Grund, warum dieses Ding die beliebteste Cajon unter Spaniens Percussionisten ist.
Und das für einiges unter 200 Euro! Große Kaufempfelung!
